Five star PF, Naz Reid, announced a final two of Arizona and LSU. The top 2018 recruit is one of the best in the nation, and he continues to prove it over and over on the court. He has a commanding presence in the post and has a lot of solid weight to throw around for someone who is 6’9″. Don’t expect this kid to play like a scared freshman when he steps on campus.

Right now we think that LSU may have the lead on the strong PF, as his last official visit was to Baton Rouge back in late June. We believe that LSU’s recent resurgence in recruiting has really caught Naz’s eye and could end up playing a factor here. LSU currently has top combo guard five star Ja’Vonte Smart committed in the 2018 class, and playing alongside him has to be in the back of Reid’s mind. Do not count out Zona though, as they already have the #1 class for 2018, including Shareef O’Neal, son of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. It will depend on whether or not Naz will want to share the floor with another possible one and done PF. Naz is set to officially visit Arizona on the weekend of September 8, and we fully expect them to make a late resurgence in this recruitment. So while we believe that LSU currently has the lead on this talented big man, we predict that Zona will make a late run and steal this kid away.
