Week 9 College Football DFS (DraftKings)

Welcome to the Week 9 Pypeline College Football DFS plays. I play DraftKings and it’s better than all other DFS outlets out there. Here’s some helpful tips for college football on Saturday. Remember you have $50,000 to pick 8 players ($6,250 AVG).

Top QBs

Jalen Hurts – $9,200

• Hurts costs you more money than any other QB. However, he always delivers, averaging 44.2 FPPG.

Justin Fields – $8,100

• We all know Wisconsin lost to Illinois last week, but their defense has been solid all season. Justin Fields is a Heisman contender and will get his points. However, unless you’re just really set on playing Fields, I’d stay away from him this week. There are better value picks out there.

Sam Ehlinger $7,900

• As bad as the Longhorns defense is playing, they’ll definitely need Ehlinger to carry them on offense. Last week, he had 43.1 Fantasy Points and carried Texas to a win.

Texas A&M QB Kellen Mond is a great value play – (James Gilbert / AP)

Best Value Plays

Kellen Mond $7,300

• Mond goes up against Mississippi State who was shredded by Bo Nix and Auburn. Mississippi State also has defensive players who are rotating suspensions each week. I expect Mond to have a good Fantasy day.

Sam Howell $7,100

• Howell lit up the Virginia Tech defense last week scoring 35.9 Fantasy Points and the Duke defense was shredded by UVA. This is a great value play.

Quentin Harris $7,100

• Harris struggled last week vs UVA only accumulating 8.2 Fantasy Points. Luckily for Harris, the UNC defense was picked apart by three different Virginia Tech QBs including the 3rd string QB in his first real action. I expect at least 18-26 fantasy points for Harris.

Tanner Morgan $6,300

• People are still sleeping on the Golden Gophers and Tanner Morgan. Morgan is only averaging 18.6 FPPG, but he’s been consistent and even posted a 32 point outing vs Purdue.

QB to Avoid 🚫

Jack Coan $5,600

• The Ohio State defense won’t let Coan beat them.

Top RBs

Chuba Hubbard $8,300

• Hubbard has been outstanding this season. He’s averaging 35 FPPG, and no matter the match-up, he’s been impressive.

J.K. Dobbins $7,600

• This isn’t a match-up I’m in love with, but Dobbins has been consistent this season averaging 25.7 FPPG.

Cam Akers $7,500

• Akers has been singlehandedly leading this Seminoles offense. Last week against Wake Forest, he had 37.9 fantasy points and has a good match-up vs Syracuse.

Iowa St RB Breece Hall could put up some big numbers this week

Best Value Plays

Darius Anderson $6,600

• Pooka Williams just rushed for 190 yards and two touchdowns vs Texas and Anderson is an elusive back who could shred the Longhorns’ defense.

Breece Hall $6,500

• Hall has 43.6 and 35.7 Fantasy Points his last two games. He’s only a freshman, but he’s finding his stride.

Isaiah Spiller $5,400

• You get excellent value here with Spiller. The Mississippi State defense isn’t that good, and Spiller should find the end zone.

Kennedy Brooks $5,400

• Brooks is the RB1 in a high powered offense and you get great value with him at $5,400.

RBs to Avoid 🚫

Penn State RBs

• This is pretty simple. The Nittany Lions are using a committee of four RBs and nobody has any idea who will get in the end zone.

Top WRs/TEs

CeeDee Lamb $7,200

• Lamb was quiet last week with just 11 Fantasy Points. But the week before he had 48.5 Fantasy Points. This offense has a ton of weapons, but Lamb is undoubtedly the WR1 and a great play any week.

Tylan Wallace $7,200

• Wallace is averaging 24.7 FPPG this season. Iowa State could get a lead and the Cowboys could be throwing to catch up. Wallace is a good play.

Devin Duvernay $7,000

• Duvernay has been the go-to-guy for Sam Ehlinger in 2019. Last week vs Kansas, Duvernay had 34 Fantasy Points.

UNC WR Dazz Newsome will look for some big points vs rival Duke – (News & Observer file photo)

Best Value Plays

Tyler Johnson $6,300

• Johnson is one of the most underrated receivers in college football. Last week, he had 28 fantasy points and he’s averaging 20.7 FPPG.

KJ Hamler $6,300

• Hamler is the #1 Target for Sean Clifford. This Michigan State defense is great up front, but vulnerable through the air. All it takes is one play for Hamler to break loose for a big touchdown reception.

Dazz Newsome $5,900

• Newsome had a big game last week vs Virginia Tech with 35.5 Fantasy Points and has a decent match-up vs Duke.

Charlie Kolar $4,800

• Kolar has been one of the best tight ends in college football and fantasy. Last week, he had 23 Fantasy Points and has been a red zone machine for Brock Purdy.
