We have done the DFS homework for you, and here are is our breakdown for Saturday’s slate of games in college football. This is our preview for the DraftKings $200K Saturday Kickoff contest. A $15 entry gets you in the contest which pays out $50,000 to 1st place. We are using DraftKings numbers, so you have $50,000 to pick 8 players ($6,250 AVG).

Games

  • Kentucky at Ole Miss
  • Texas Tech at Kansas State
  • Oklahoma at TCU
  • Michigan at Iowa
  • Purdue at Minnesota
  • Illinois at Wisconsin
  • Navy at Air Force
  • Alabama at Arkansas
  • Oklahoma State at Baylor
  • Iowa State at Kansas
  • Wake Forest at Florida State
  • Michigan State at Maryland
  • Texas A&M at Mississippi State

Quarterbacks

Top Plays

  • Dillon Gabriel (Oklahoma) $9,300
  • Jordan Travis (Florida St) $8,800
  • Sam Hartman (Wake Forest) $8,400

Gabriel is high priced, but he’s averaging 28.8 PPG. And he’s capable of 35+ point games. Travis has a match-up I love vs Wake Forest, who was torched by Clemson QB DJ Uiagalelei last week and Liberty QB Kaidon Salter the week before. Sam Hartman doesn’t have the greatest match-up, but he’s capable of 25+ point games every week. Last week vs Clemson he scored 41.5 Fantasy Points.

Best Value Plays

  • Adrian Martinez (Kansas St) $7,800
  • Donovan Smith (Texas Tech) $7,200
  • Jalon Daniels (Kansas) $7,000
  • Will Levis (Kentucky) $6,900
  • Taulia Tagovailoa (Maryland) $6,800

Adrian Martinez scored 55.2 Fantasy Points last week vs Oklahoma. This week he has a good match-up vs Texas Tech, and the rushing upside is always there. Jalon Daniels has put up Heisman Type numbers and led Kansas to a 4-0 record. The match-up vs Iowa State is tougher than I like, but at 7K he’s got a lot of upside. A contrarian play this week will be Will Levis at 6.9K, and he could do well vs Ole Miss.

Longshot Plays

  • Hunter Dekkers (Iowa St) $5,800
  • Aidan O’Connell (Purdue) $5,700
  • Tommy Devito (Illinois) $5,200

Dekkers and O’Connell are two plays I love this week. Iowa State will rely on Dekkers vs undefeated Kansas, and it’s not a horrible match-up. O’Connell will always get you plenty of volume. His match-up isn’t the greatest, but I don’t mind stacking him with Charlie Jones. Devito will be extremely low owned, maybe 1% if that. If he has a big game, he’s the type of play that could win you a pool.

Running Backs

Top Plays

  • Braelon Allen (Wisconsin) $8,700
  • Deuce Vaughn (Kansas St) $7,200

Allen is going to be a great play no matter the match-up. I see 100 yards and 2 TDs from him this week. Deuce Vaughn at 7.2K is criminal and a play I can’t pass on.

Best Value Plays

  • Blake Corum (Michigan) $6,500
  • Devon Achane (Texas A&M) $6,400
  • Jirehl Brock (Iowa St) $5,400

I don’t CARE what the match-up is, Blake Corum at 6.5K is a felony. He’s averaging 27 PPG and carried the Wolverines last week vs Maryland. Devon Achane is the focal point of the Aggies offense especially with WR Ainias Smith out for the season.

Longshot Plays

  • Kendre Miller (TCU) $5,200
  • Richard Reese (Baylor) $4,900
  • Lawrance Toafili (Florida St) $3,800

Miller and Reese are both starters for their teams and both averaging over 17 PPG. Toafili is definitely a longshot and should only be played if you need a cheap RB who will get touches.

Receivers

Top Plays

  • Marvin Mims (Oklahoma) $8,500
  • Xavier Hutchinson (Iowa St) $7,800

Mims is a big play threat, but he needs to put together another big game like he did vs Kent State with 38 points to payoff this price. I love the Hutchinson/Dekkers stack this week. Hutchinson is averaging 27.3 PPG this season and has a favorable match-up.

Best Value Plays

  • A.T. Perry (Wake Forest) $7,200
  • Jermaine Burton (Alabama) $6,800
  • Charlie Jones (Purdue) $6,400
  • Traeshon Holden (Alabama) $5,900
  • Tayvion Robinson (Kentucky) $5,800
  • Myles Price (Texas Tech) $5,400

Jones and Robinson are my favorite plays of these six, but you can’t go wrong with any of these plays. Jones is a player who will get a ton of volume and you can’t beat a 6.4K price. Robinson is a player I’d definitely stack with Levis, and he’s also a player I could see having low ownership.

Longshot Plays

  • Brayden Willis (Oklahoma) $4,000
  • Evan Stewart (Texas A&M) $3,600
  • Brevyn Spann-Ford (Minnesota) $3,600
  • Jahmal Banks (Wake Forest) $3,000

Willis has five receiving TDs this season, and he’s a big redzone threat for the Sooners. Stewart is a must start this week for me. With Ainias Smith out he’s going to need to step up big, and to be honest he should be priced around 5K. Jahmal Banks being 3K is absolutely criminal. Someone dropped the ball on this one. Banks is averaging 18 PPG this season, and he had 35.1 Fantasy Points vs Clemson.
