One of the top defenders out of the state of Georgia in the 2018 class, Jaycee Horn, announced his commitment to head coach Butch Jones and the Tennessee Volunteers. Ever since the beginning of the summer, the Vols have picked up the pace in terms of recruiting. 17 of their 23 commitments have come since the beginning of June this year. They currently sit at #6 in the recruiting rankings, and their class got even better.

Jaycee Horn sits at about 6’0″ and 180 pounds, so he will most likely need to add a little weight once he arrives in Knoxville. However, he has great recovery speed and coaches won’t want to add too much weight and lose that speed. Horn visited Knoxville back on the weekend of July 22nd and 23rd and the visit absolutely won him over, as before that many had the talented cornerback penciled in as a lock to South Carolina. The Vols are getting a kid that has NFL bloodlines, as Jaycee is the son of former NFL great/New Orleans Saints legend Joe Horn. He may play on the opposite side of the football as his father who was a WR, but he has definitely inherited some of his father’s playmaking ability. Vols fans will love watching this kid lace them up in Knoxville.
