2018 NYC PG, Jalen Carey, announced his top 6 schools and the list included Rutgers, Miami, Kansas, Syracuse, Villanova, and UConn. Carey is an extremely talented point guard that is extremely mature for a player his age. He seems to distribute the ball very well as he does a great job at getting his teammates involved, and never really forces things offensively. His handles are excellent and he is strong for a point guard his size allowing him to get to the rim against bigger competition. We expect him to see the floor once he steps on a college campus, but will have to develop his skills as he may take advantage of some lesser competition while in high school.

Out of the six schools that made the cut for Carey we think there is one that really stands out to the young point guard. Kansas currently does not have a commitment in the 2018 class and we expect for them to turn up the heat on this kid now that they have cracked into his top schools. They have been involved in this recruitment for quite some time and we expect that they have build quite the relationship with Jalen. With Graham leaving after this upcoming season they will really need another player in the backcourt and we expect for Carey to fill that role.
