One of the best shooting guards in the 2018 class, Dane Goodwin, announced his commitment to Notre Dame. While many believed that the Buckeyes were the leader for the majority of his recruitment, the Columbus, OH product chose the Fighting Irish over Ohio State as well as Villanova.

Head coach Mike Brey and the Irish have absolutely loaded up their back court in the 2018 class, as Goodwin joins other top 100 shooting guards Prentiss Hubb and Robby Carmody. All three of these prospects bring different things to the table and will provide a spark in the Notre Dame offense for the years to come. While Hubb seems to be the most well-rounded prospect of the bunch, Goodwin may be the best from the three point line. The sharp shooter has elite range, and the Irish will certainly be looking to put the ball in Goodwin’s in close ACC games that come down to the wire.
