Four-star CB Jordan Miner commits to Penn State

Stud cornerback, Jordan Miner, out of Tampa, Florida announced his commitment to Penn State and head coach James Franklin. Miner picked the Nittany Lions over Tennessee, Maryland, and UNC among others, after visiting PSU and Knoxville early in the month of June. The Florida ballhawk is the 14th commitment for the Nittany Lions in the 2018 recruiting class, and brings them up to the number 4 class in the nation.

Miner has great instincts for a young cornerback, as he is incredible at high-pointing the ball. If he is able to hold onto the ball for the pick, he instantly becomes a weapon. We expect this kid to take some pick sixes to the house for the Nittany Lions sooner rather than later. He does have the frame to add a little more weight once he steps on campus, but we don’t see that being a problem for the Penn State strength and conditioning coach. In addition to possessing the athleticism to bring down some passes from opposing QBs, this kid also has some moxie and won’t shy away from delivering a big hit. We see him being able to break the two deep pretty early and gradually see more playing time as he progresses in his career. If you are a Penn State fan you should be ecstatic about this kid’s commitment, as we can not wait to see him on Saturdays.
