The NBA Draft is this week, and the college football season is fast approaching. With that in mind, we compared some of college’s top quarterbacks with their NBA counterparts.
1. Kevin Durant – Trevor Lawrence
Both are considered as one of the best in their respected games. They both clearly have pure talent. They both also joined teams who had enjoyed winning before each superstar arrived. Durant joined an already world champion in Golden State, while Lawrence joined an already National Champion Clemson.
2. Lonzo Ball – Justin Herbert
We’ve seen both of these guys show flashes of potential that could make them all time greats at what they do. We’ve also seen them both make plays that leave you scratching your head. It’s just which version of them shows up to a particular game.
3. Kawhi Leonard – Jake Fromm
Both Leonard and Fromm are superstars that have loads of talent. And both are low key guys that keep to themselves and have that lunch pail mentality. Kawhi’s championship with the Raptors has elevated him to another level. Georgia fans hope that Fromm follows suit this season.
4. DeMarcus Cousins – Jalen Hurts
These two are the cagey vets. Both are are very solid players. However, both have had to switch teams to get where they are now. While Cousins and Hurts are also good players, neither will be the sole reason you win a title.
5. Tua Tagovailoa – LeBron James
Both LeBron James and Tua Tagovailoa are both seasoned players who command a lot of respect for the way they lead their respective teams. Both have been to the top of the mountain and won a championship. Likewise, they each have also lost on the biggest stage in their sport. And with the recent trade of Anthony Davis to the Lakers, both are gearing up for one more title run.
Bonus: D’Eriq King – Trae Young
Both of these guys are big flashy play-makers. Every time they take the lace them up, there is a chance the fans will see something special. Trae is the straw that stirs the drink for the Atlanta Hawks, and D’Eriq is the same for the Houston Cougars. Every time you watch, these guys are going to jump off screen with their athleticism and play-making ability.
