Jacob Isaia visited East Lansing this past weekend, and it was all he needed to decide where he wanted to call home for the next four years. Isaia transferred to national powerhouse Bishop Gorman high school after his sophomore year from Honolulu, HI. It was a tough decision, but it seemed to pay off for the talented lineman as he began to receive national attention once he donned the Gorman uniform. Isaia’s grandfather is former Spartan and 2-time All-American fullback Bob Apisa, who was inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame this past weekend, while Isaia was on his official visit.

We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Isaia at The Opening in Oakland, and we have to say that we loved what we saw from the talented lineman. Jacob was one of the more athletic kids in the offensive lineman group, and he seemed to move effortlessly through the drills. If he is asked to pull and block on say a counter, it will be right in his wheelhouse. He is expected to play at either the center position or the guard position at the next level, and we see him excelling at either one. Isaia will add some muscle once he steps on campus, but right now he is a solid kid that does not look to have an ounce of fat on him. Jacob chose MSU over offers from schools like Ole Miss, Arizona, Utah, Louisville, and others.
