With only 95 days left until the start of the College Football season we have decided to honor the ’95 Nebraska Cornhuskers. A squad that is widely considered as the greatest team of all time.
“Hey Gators, Nebraska just scored again.”
Nebraska went on to beat the Florida Gators to win the national title in convincing fashion. The final score being 62-24. Florida QB Danny Wuerffel was hit for a loss so many times that he ended up with -37 yards rushing. As efficient as the Blackshirts were, the offense was just as effective. Nebraska RB Lawrence Phillips boasted a total of 165 yards and 2 TD’s on the evening. However, Tommie Frazier was not to be outdone. The Nebraska QB had 199 rushing yards and 2 TD’s on just 16 carries. Check out the highlights of their impressive performance below.
