There are 90 days until college football returns. Today we look back at a former Husker that still bleeds Big Red.
In the 2000s, #90 Adam Carriker was a force on the Nebraska D-Line. The former NFL 1st round pick was First Team All-Big 12 in 2005 & 2006. In 2006 he won the Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year. That year he recorded a team high 7 sacks to go along with 16 tackles behind the line of scrimmage. For his career, he finished with 41 TFL and 20.5 sacks, ranking him 5th and 6th, respectively, in Cornhusker history. He is a proud member of the Nebraska Football Hall of Fame. Adam went on to be drafted #13 overall in the 1st round of the NFL draft by the St. Louis Rams.
PS – All Nebraska fans should 100% follow Adam on Twitter. And they should 1000% tune in every week to The Carriker Chronicles. A must watch for Husker fans everywhere.
