It is a massive day for Howard and all HBCU programs across the country. Five star Makur Maker just committed to Kenny Blakeney and the Howard Bison. Maker chose the Bison over UCLA, Kentucky, and Memphis. Maker is a member of the 2020 class and is a 6’11” center who plays like a guard. He attended Hillcrest Prep last year and is considered a top 20 recruit by many recruiting services. Maker wants to inspire as many top players as he can to join him in committing to HBCU programs. I expect many top players to start considering HBCU programs sooner rather than later.
I was the 1st to announce my visit to Howard & other started to dream “what if”. I need to make the HBCU movement real so that others will follow. I hope I inspire guys like Mikey Williams to join me on this journey. I am committing to Howard U & coach Kenny Blakeney #MakerMob

Makur is starting a trend. He wants to inspire other great players to join him to not only visit HBCU programs but to consider playing for these great University’s. Makur is currently declared for the NBA draft. However, many believe he will never step foot on a college campus. Either way he made a big time statement today and it was amazing.
