4-star forward Alex Tchikou commits to Alabama

The SEC keeps getting better and better. Four star forward Alex Tchikou committed to Alabama. Tchikou chose the Crimson Tide over Oregon, St. Mary’s, St. John’s, Arizona, USC, Florida State, Illinois, and Mississippi State. Nate Oats landed another 4-star recruit today to add to his already impressive 2020 recruiting class. Tchikou was originally a member of the 2021 class, but he recently reclassified to the class of 2020.

Tchikou is a 6’11” power forward. He is very athletic and is best used when is out in transition. A lot of schools wanted to land Tchikou’s services. Florida State was considered the early leader. An Arizona native, many believed that he would stay on the west coast and attend either Oregon or USC. But recently, Alabama started to receive A LOT of buzz. Today, Tchikou announced he would be taking his talents to the SEC and committing to Alabama.

This is a very solid class for Nate Oats. Tchikou will join 4-stars Joshua Primo and Keon Ambrose-Hylton and 3-stars Darius Miles and Keon Ellis. Alabama also landed a commitment from Yale grad transfer Jordan Bruner. The SEC will be a very talented conference next season. Alabama has a Top 30 recruiting class nationally. The Crimson Tide should be one of the top teams in the SEC next season.
