The #1 inside linebacker in the 2019 class, Nakobe Dean, has trimmed his list of schools to 15. The list includes Ole Miss, Florida, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, LSU, Alabama, Geargia, Clemson, Michigan, Stanford, Duke, Auburn, Florida State, Nebraska, and Notre Dame. He has 20+ offers and counting, as Dean’s offer list started to pick up the pace toward the end of 2017, and it has snowballed ever since.

Dean has one of the best motors of any kid in the 2019 class. He never takes a play off and somehow always finds himself around the ball. He is currently about 6’0″ and 215 lbs and it seems to be all muscle. Dean is very physical on the football field but has enough speed to drop back into coverage if needed. He will need to add a little weight if he plans on moving inside in college, but that won’t affect his 4.6 speed. He has all the attributes that you want in the leader of your defense.
At this point in the recruiting process, it is nearly impossible to make an accurate prediction on a guy like Nakobe, who has the ability, skills, and determination to go anywhere in the country. However, the SEC hardly ever lets a kid from a southern state leave their own backyard, especially someone with Nakobe’s talent. Alabama and Ole Miss have the best shot at this point. If Alabama really picks up the heat in this recruitment, it will be hard for Nakobe to turn down the defending National Champs.
