The Trojans landed a major recruit, as 4-star TE Ethan Rae committed to USC. This gives the Trojans their 5th 4-star of the 2019 class. This also keeps them solidly with the 2nd best recruiting class in the PAC-12, behind only Washington.

Top 10 Tight End
Ethan is a 6’4″ 240 lb tight end out of Orange Lutheran in Orange, CA. He is a Top 250 recruit, and is the 10th ranked TE in the country. He already has a great frame and build. Getting into a college strength and conditioning program will only make him that much stronger. Already, he can hold his own on the line, staying in to block. But he also has the athleticism to get off the line, and forms a wide target for his quarterback to get the ball. Rae has great hands. And despite his size, he has a burst of speed that allows him to outrun smaller defenders.
It was a coup for USC to be able to keep Rae in state. Because Ethan had offers from virtually every top program in the country, as they all know the value of a top tier, playmaking tight end. The offers ranged from the Champs, Alabama, to Georgia, Florida, Michigan, Michigan St, Ohio St, Penn St, Notre Dame, Oregon, Cal, Arizona, & rival UCLA, among others. Being able to keep him in state, while also fending off all those other top programs, including cross-town rival UCLA, makes getting the big time TE that much sweeter for the Trojans.
Future Outlook for the Trojans
Ethan joins three other receivers in the 2019 for USC. Making up head coach Clay Helton’s receiving gang is 4-star Puka Nacua, 4-star Drake London, & 4-star Munir McClain. Therefore, that will give Helton quite the offensive arsenal at his disposal. As a result, the future looks bright for USC and Trojans fans everywhere.
