The Boise State Broncos received some BIG news as they received a commitment from 4-star QB Hank Bachmeier. Bachmeier is just the 2nd commitment for the Broncos in the 2019 class, but he is certainly a good one. The California native is listed as the #8 Pro-style QB in the nation and top 200 overall player in the nation.

Bachmeier chose Boise State over offers from Cal, Tennessee, UGA, and other big time programs. Bronco fans have to be ecstatic with this pickup. Hank is the highest rated recruit that Boise State has landed since 2014. That year the Broncos picked up a commitment from top 100 S, Dylan Sumner-Gardner. Hank admitted that he kept flipping between Cal and Boise State, but in the end he knew where he wanted to be.
The last time that Boise had a 4-star QB commitment was when Brett Rypien committed back in 2015. Rypien will be a senior this upcoming season, which will allow for Bachmeier to compete for the starting job immediately.
Mike’s Take
Bachmeier is one of the most efficient QB’s in California state history. He is a 4 year starter and in his first 3 seasons his numbers have been nothing short of incredible. So far he has thrown over 10,000 yards and 124 career touchdowns. However the best is yet to come for the Murrieta Valley talent.
Bachmeier stands at 6’3″ and 188 pounds and can absolutely sling the football. At times it looks like the kid is throwing a baseball. I fully expect for Hank to step on campus and be the man right away. Especially with Rypien graduating after the 2018 season. Obviously there will be some freshman year growing pains, but don’t be surprised to see flashes of greatness. The Broncos have been on the cusp of a BCS national championship appearance for years, and it seems that may continue with this addition. We can’t wait to see Backmeier lace up in Boise.
