Jim Harbaugh and the Michigan Wolverines add their 5th commitment in the 2019 class on Wednesday as 4-star OT Trente Jones announced that he will continue his career in Ann Arbor. Although it is early, his commitment brings Michigan up to the 6th class nationally and just behind Wisconsin in the B1G. Trente joins 5-star Chris Hinton, fellow 4-stars Stephen Herron Jr, Nolan Rumler, and 3-star Charles Thomas in the 2019 Wolverine class.

Jones hails from the Peach State and is one of the top Offensive Lineman out of this class. With the added pressure to bring some solid lineman in to fill some important holes in 2019, it makes this commitment especially big for the Wolverines. At 6’6 and 280 pounds this kid has not had many problems finding success in keeping his QB/RBs safe. He is already very strong, but he will need to continue to stay in the weight room in order to ensure that success continues against the talented defensive lines of the B1G. One of Trente Jones’ former Grayson HS RB Kurt Taylor in Ann Arbor, as Taylor was a part of the 2017 Michigan recruiting class. Michigan might be making some headway in creating a Pypeline from Loganville, GA up to B1G country.
