One of the best defensive backs in the nation, Jalyn Phillips, announced his Top 10 schools in his recruitment. This is a moment that coaching staffs all over the country have been waiting for. Philips is a 4-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class and one of the hottest names on the Peach State recruiting trail. Jalyn’s list of schools include: Alabama, UGA, FSU, Oklahoma, Oregon, OSU, Clemson, USC, Nebraska, and Tennessee. A recruit would be lucky to be considered by any of these schools. Philips being able to pick and choose among the bunch speaks volumes of his athleticism & ability.
Recruitment is open to bigger and better opportunities !

Phillips is the type of recruit that does his talking on the field. Standing at 6’1″ 190 pounds, Jalyn has the ability to lay the wood on opposing offenses. Also with a 4.5 – 4.6 forty time, Phillips uses his combination of size and speed to always find himself around the ball. The kid can play up in the box or as a centerfielder deep. This versatility is what makes a recruit like Jalyn so special. Because he is able to line up all over the field, this will give him the ability to see he field early in his college career.
At this point in his recruitment it is hard to tell where Phillips might actually be leaning. However, we definitely think there are two schools that might stick out more than others. They would happen to be the same schools that squared off in the national championship game this past year. Alabama always seems to have their hat on the table on announcement day. And we think that trend will continue in this scenario with this big name recruit.
But it is the Georgia Bulldogs that currently have the #1 class in 2019, and they have been white hot on the recruiting trail. They have been putting a fence around the state of Georgia this year with commitments from the #1 and #3 players in the state. At this rate the Bulldogs will be all home grown talent this year. There is plenty of time between now and Signing Day, so anything can happen!
