Top DE Thomas Booker announces top Five

One of the top 2018 defensive ends in the nation, Thomas Booker, announced his top five schools and he definitely took more of an academic approach when narrowing down his list. Most four star recruits are enamored with the bright lights of the SEC or the allure of playing in nationally televised games, but being the extremely bright kid that he is, Booker decided to look ahead towards his future and life after football. That being said, with the kind of talent that this kid has we believe he will have a long and illustrious career no matter where he winds up. The final five schools that made the cut were: Princeton, Harvard, UPenn, Notre Dame, and Stanford.

Booker is an extremely agile defensive lineman and has a knack for stuffing any running lanes that come his way. He holds his weight extremely well as he is 6’5″ and 290 pounds, but the kid does not look to have much of his baby fat left. This kid is extremely smart off the field but the fact that he is able to break up players before they even get started shows he has vast football knowledge at his age as well.

It is hard to believe that powerhouses like Stanford and Notre Dame will not be able to fend off the Ivy League schools that are on his list, but watch out for Princeton here. Princeton received a commitment from four star QB Brevin White this year, and they are definitely looking to find their man on the defensive side of the ball. If Princeton can pull this off, it will undoubtable be their best recruiting class in the modern football era. But, playing at schools like Notre Dame and Stanford may be too much for the others to overcome. In the end we believe it will be Notre Dame to land this talent as they are much closer to home than Stanford and he can still get the education that a kid like this yearns for. His last official visit was to South Bend and we have heard things went very well for the Fighting Irish.
