After a slow start to the 2018 recruiting class, Auburn received some good news with the commitment of four star WR, Matthew Hill. Hill is one of the best WR in the 2018 class, as his combination of size and speed is just something that cannot be taught to a high school recruit. Five of Auburn’s twelve commitments in the 2018 class have come in the past month.

Matthew Hill is a kid that is about 6’2 and around 190 pounds, but also brings speed, making him the complete package. He could play in the slot or on an outside WR position, so the ability to play multiple different roles may allow him to see the field sooner for head coach Gus Malzahn. Hill is an absolute play maker, so we wouldn’t be surprised to see him take snaps on special teams and can see him cracking the two deep his freshman season. With Joey Gatewood having committed way back in 2015 and likely (definitely) playing the QB position once he steps on Auburn’s campus, this is starting to look like a quality class for the Tiger offense.
