Patrick Jolly has announced his commitment to the UCF Knights. Jolly is the 8th commitment in the 2018 class for head coach Scott Frost and Central Florida. Although Jolly might not be the highest ranked recruit in their class, we think that he is an absolute steal. The kid flat out wants to win, as his competitiveness shows every time he steps on the field.

Standing at 6’1″ and around 175 pounds, Jolly is a kid who could play out wide or as a running back. We think that he ends up at the running back position, when he gets to Orlando. The Knights will want to get him on the field as soon as possible. Jolly has the frame to get up to around 200 pounds, but it’s doubtful that they will want him to put on the weight, as they don’t want to lose any of that “Florida” speed. He has incredible instincts for a kid his age and stays behind his blocks just long enough to take it to the house. If he ends up at running back, he will need to work on protecting the QB a little more in passing situations. However, that won’t be a problem, given his will to do whatever it takes to succeed. We could see this kid being the future of the UCF offense, wreaking havoc in the AAC.
