One of the best defensive tackles in the nation, Michael Thompson Jr, announced his final five schools with only B1G and SEC schools making the cut. The list consists of Michigan, Missouri, Alabama, Ohio State, and LSU. Thompson is one of the best big men in the country, and his final list shows that, as he boasts offers from some of the best programs in the nation.

Hailing from Missouri, Thompson Jr is actually a phenomenal blocker. However, his strengths definitely shine when he plays on the defensive line. He can really get to the football quickly for a big man over 300 pounds, and it will be extremely tough for offensive lines to contain him. This kid’s best football is definitely ahead of him, and that is something to be said as he has dominated HS competition. Once he stabilizes himself at one position, we expect for him to develop into an All-American type of talent. We expect for Saban and Alabama to be in this race until the end, but watch out for Missouri in this one. They are the hometown team, and they will be looking to keep one of the best players in the 2018 class at home.
