Jaylon Robinson announced his commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners and Lincoln Riley. The Sooners have been hot on the recruiting trail for the 2018 class, as Robinson is the 14th commitment so far. He is the 6th commitment in the month of June alone. The speedy athlete from the Lone Star State could play a number of positions at the next level, but his best fit seems to be in the slot, which is where he will probably wind up in Riley’s offense.

Jaylon Robinson will have to put on some weight in a college strength and conditioning program in order to take on bigger defenders, but we don’t see that being a problem with his frame. What Robinson may lack in size, he definitely makes up for in speed. The 4 star athlete can run with the best of them, and can make people miss with his excellent lateral movement.
Although it might take a year or two before he gets significant playing time in the slot, we see him getting some reps as either a kick returner or punt returner as a freshman. He has the perfect skill set to take it to the house any time the ball is in his hands. Robinson is one of our players to keep an eye on when he steps foot in Norman, and we can’t wait to see what this freak can do in a Lincoln Riley offense.
