Justin Fuente and the Hokies added their 9th commitment to their 2018 class on Wednesday evening. Greensboro, North Carolina product, Tre Turner, announced his commitment to VT and is the second commitment out of NC in a year where the Hokies have launched a #NC2VT campaign. His commitment is big for the Hokies because he is a do-it-all wide receiver and will help Fuente in the recruitment of linebacker Dax Hollifield and safety DJ Crossen, two of the top uncommitted players in the state of NC.

Turner comes from a very athletic family, as his cousin is PJ Hairston, former standout basketball player at the University of North Carolina. Turner is a 4 star athlete and will be able to make an immediate impact in Blacksburg.
