Wolverines fans received great news, as Jack Stewart announced his commitment to the Michigan. Stewart is one of the best lineman out of Connecticut in the 2019 class. He is also on our list of players to watch. Not only does Stewart bring a Michigan-like toughness to the field, he is absolutely massive. Stewart stands at 6’5″ and 280 pounds. But, it looks like he will be able to put on a solid amount of muscle with his frame. This is what makes us think that Stewart might end up a four star when it is all said and done.
Committed to the University of Michigan. Thank you to all the coaches that extended offers. #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/OfP36YAr9C

The big offensive lineman is the second commitment for head coach Jim Harbaugh in just as many days. It was just yesterday that the Wolverines were able to flip 4-star cornerback Te’Cory Couch from Tennessee. Needless to say, the Wolverines 2019 class is really starting to pick up steam, as they currently have the #4 class in the nation. They also have three Top 100 players in the class.
Mike’s Take
The Wolverines have been doing a great job closing early on a lot of their targets. Especially along the line of scrimmage, as 6 of their 9 commitments are offensive and defensive lineman. All of which happen to be quality prospects. This class may be headlined by 5-star DEs Chris Hinton and Stephen Herron Jr, but Jack Stewart shows great promise. His offer list spoke for itself as he also had offers from Texas A&M, Wisconsin, and Ole Miss among others.
Stewart can really move for a kid that is pushing 300 pounds. While we don’t think that Jack will come in and play immediately, we predict that he cracks the two deep by the time he is a sophomore. We have him projected as a multi-year starter for Wolverines. By the time of his senior year, we would not be surprised to see his name atop some draft boards.
