There are only 87 days left until the return of college football. To celebrate, we take a look back at a beautiful fall night in November 2011. Robert Griffin III and the Baylor Bears hosted a #5 ranked Oklahoma team in Floyd Casey Stadium. Down a touchdown late in the third quarter, RG3 found a little luck with a tipped ball landing right in the hands of Terrance Williams. The Bears could not have drawn it up any better. Williams didn’t waste any time as he took it to the house for, you guessed it, 87 yards!
This amazing play tied the ball-game at 24, and shifted the momentum to Baylor. As a result, the Bears went on to beat the Sooners 45-38. A night that would go down in the record books. This was the first time that the Bears had beaten Oklahoma in 21 tries dating back to 1901. This game vaulted RGIII & Baylor to national prominence, and he went on to win the Heisman that year as well.
