There are 70 days until college football returns. Today we’ll look back at one of the most accurate seasons by a QB ever: Boise St’s Kellen Moore’s 2009 season.
In 2009, if you were a DB and played against Boise St, chances are you did NOT get an interception. Why? Because that was the year that Kellen Moore set the all time record for lowest interception percentage at 0.70% (minimum 350 attempts). Moore amassed 3,536 yards on 431 attempts, while wracking up 39 touchdowns. The amazing thing is that out of those 431 attempts, he only threw 3 interceptions. That low interception % allowed him to finish with the highest passing efficiency in Division 1-A. His 39 touchdowns were a Broncos’ school record. Also, he led them to an undefeated 14-0 season, which included a Fiesta Bowl victory over #4 TCU. Against the Horned Frogs, he committed no turnovers and led Boise St to a 78-yard game winning drive that sealed the game 17-10. Check out the full game below and watch Moore’s surgical precision.
