The last 48 hours have been very busy in college basketball. This comes as no surprise to any die hard college basketball fan. For those of you who aren’t sure if you can keep up, don’t worry because Pypeline has you covered.
The Illini staff have continued to be busy since the contact period began. Their next target seems to be 6-foot-10 center Silas Sunday. A native of the Bronx, NY, Sunday has been busy over the last few hours receiving interest from programs such as Pittsburgh, Oregon State, St. John’s and Illinois. The class of 2022 prospect is currently unranked by major recruiting services but that could change in a big way in the future. Sunday had one offer prior to today which came from Bryant University. He also picked up an offer from St. John’s University today.
As far as Illinois, Sunday told me Illinois had reached out to him. Coach Orlando Antigua has been the main point of contact with Sunday. And soon after, Sunday received an offer from the program.
Blessed to say that I have received an offer from the university of Illinois 🙏🏾 pic.twitter.com/S9NPkw1gBh

Sunday gave his reaction after being offered by Illinois.
“I am truly grateful and blessed that I’m able to receive recognition from all the coaches that have reached out to me. I am very humbled to be offered by Illinois.” he told Pypeline.co
