It is big day for Penny Hardaway and his staff as they landed Five Star Center Moussa Cisse. The local star decided to stay home play for the Tigers. Cisse chose the Tigers over LSU, Florida State, Kentucky, Georgia, and Georgetown. Memphis needed to add another piece in the front court and they have.

Cisse is an elite shot blocker who plays with high energy. This was a MASSIVE pickup for Penny Hardaway and his staff. Many believed that Moussa Cisse was an LSU “lock”. Days up to his commitment, some people still believed he would end up committing to LSU. The longer the recruitment played out, the better it was for Memphis. With everything that is going on with COVID-19, staying at home in Memphis became a real possibility. Today, Cisse committed to Memphis.

Cisse joins JUCO star Ahmad Rand for the Tigers recruiting class. Memphis also landed commitments from transfers Landers Nolley (Virginia Tech) and DeAndre Williams (Evansville). Moussa Cisse will be the starting center next season for Penny Hardaway. Cisse will also be a preseason favorite for AAC player of the year. It has been a great day for Memphis and this season should be a good one.
