Head Coach Will Muschamp and the University of South Carolina reeled in their top commitment of the 2018 class, when four star WR Josh Vann announced that he will be sporting a garnet and black uniform for the next four years. The Gamecocks are putting together a solid class as Vann and four star QB Dakereon Joyner should be quite the duo in the near future. Joyner is a dual threat qb, but can really sling it for someone that is not deemed a pocket passing QB. Playing with him might have been one of the many reasons that Vann ultimately chose South Carolina as his college destination.

Vann reminds us of a former South Carolina WR that the Gamecocks loved during his time in Columbia, Pharoh Cooper. Cooper was about the same size as Josh Vann when he was coming out of high school at 5’11” and 175 pounds. They both possess the same kind of play making ability and can take it to the house from anywhere on the field. We expect for Vann to take over kick return duties as soon as he steps on campus, just as Cooper did. Vann has enough speed to beat almost anyone in a foot race, but he really shines with his lateral movement. He can move east and west as well as anyone in this class and will most certainly be breaking some ankles.
