Just a week after losing a commitment from the #1 WR in the nation, Kirby Smart and the Georgia Bulldogs receive GREAT news. Big-time safety prospect, Lewis Cine, announced that he will be the latest stud to join UGA’s 2019 recruiting class. The talented safety chose the Bulldogs over Penn State, Florida, Michigan, and Texas after officially visiting all 5 campuses. Standing at 6’2″ and 180 pounds, Cine is the #3 safety in the nation. Despite losing a commitment last week, the Bulldogs continue to impress on the recruiting trail. Georgia finished as the #1 recruiting class in the nation last year, and look to build upon that success. Currently the Bulldogs are ranking #3 nationally. Also, Cine is the 7th top 100 prospect committed to Georgia in the ’19 class alone.

Lewis Cine will play his senior season at Trinity Christian School in Cedar Hill, TX to learn from one of the greatest to ever play the game. His coach will be none other than Primetime himself, Deion Sanders. It seems that this change has paid huge dividends, as Lewis continues to improve on his game. Also, Cine was able to pick any school in the nation that he’d like to play for. Cine has all of the physical tools to be an All-American safety. He has the quickness to be a “centerfielder” in the defensive backfield, but has the physique to come up and lay the wood.
Writing on the Wall
It seemed like this commitment was a long time coming for the Bulldogs. Although Cine seemed to favor Penn State at the beginning of his recruitment, things started to shift towards Georgia during the summer and fall. After his official visit to Athens on September 28, it seemed that the writing was on the wall. Cine was destined to be a Bulldog. In fact, Lewis only tagged UGA beat writers when he announced that he was ready to make his commitment public. We can’t wait to see this kid step on campus and wreak havoc against SEC receivers.
