Oregon began their National Signing Day (NSD) with the 18th ranked recruiting class. Not to mention the Ducks lost commits from guys like Avantae Williams (safety) and had Myles Slusher (S) & Johnny Wilson (WR) flip to other schools. Yet, they will still finish with a Top 10 recruiting class in the nation.
Pleasant Surprises
Oregon landed some key commits they weren’t expecting just over a week ago. 5-star Linebacker Justin Flowe and 4-star Quarterback Robby Ashford committed. They both have signed their NLIs to join the Ducks. Justin Flowe is the second #1 player out of Cali that Oregon has landed in the past two years. He’s the second best commit Oregon has ever gotten, second to Kayvon Thibodeaux.
More to Come
Currently, the Ducks still sit outside of the Top 10. So how will they make the jump? Simple. They have some silent commits. Most Duck fans are expecting 4-star DB Dontae Manning to commit. He signed his NLI, but won’t announce until after the Under Armour All-American Game in Florida. They are also in the running for 5-star lockdown CB Kelee Ringo.
Speculation
There are rumors floating around that the Ducks have a silent commit that is either 4 or 5-star offensive player who wants to play with 4-star dual threat QB Robby Ashford, who signed with the Ducks on the early Signing Day. So who is the secret commit in this 2020 Class? Here’s the speculation.
Gary Bryant Jr – WR – Bryant is a SoCal kid just like Justin Flowe, which is the area Oregon has been dominating lately. Bryant Jr is a dynamic weapon. He would be a great replacement for Johnny Wilson.
Elijah Badger – WR – Badger is also a SoCal kid, who’s projected to commit to Arizona State. With Wilson there, there’s a chance he flips to Oregon and plays in Autzen.
Darnell Washington – ATH – Darnell is a massive TE who also has great speed for his size. There are rumors that he’s leaning toward Georgia. However, he has been heavily rumored to want to play with Ashford.
