The Hokies lffensive line and rushing attack with Khalil Herbert and Hendon Hooker should be able to have a big game. The worrisome spot for VT is the defense trying to slow down Liberty QB Malik Willis who can burn you on the ground or through the air.
(22) Texas 31 West Virginia 21
The Longhorns had a big win last week vs #6 Oklahoma State, but the Mountaineers were impressive themselves with a win over #16 Kansas State. The majority of bets are coming in for WVU +6.5, so I like the Longhorns to win by 7-10 in this one.
(20) USC 31 Arizona State 17
If someone told me that I had to pick one Pac 12 team to make the playoffs in 2020, I’d have to choose USC because of the talent on the roster and QB Kedon Slovis. The Sun Devils have a remarkable QB themselves in Jayden Daniels, and if they are going to get the win, he will need to have a big game.
(19) Oklahoma 49 Kansas 7
The Sooners win this game easily and could score 60+.
(18) SMU 41 Temple 24
Temple just lost their RB Re’Mahn Davis to the transfer portal, and the Owls haven’t looked sharp this season. Give me Shane Buechele and the Mustangs to win.
(17) Iowa State 34 Baylor 17
The Cyclones still technically aren’t out of the Big 12 race and I expect them to control this game.
(16) Marshall 45 UMass 3
The Herd roll in this one. RB Brendan Knox could rush for over 200 yards.
(15) Coastal Carolina 35 South Alabama 21
The Chanticleers are having a remarkable season. Grayson McCall is spectacular at QB and the defense is rock solid. Chants by 2 touchdowns!!!
(14) Oklahoma State 28 Kansas State 17
The Cowboys blew their perfect season last week vs Texas because of turnovers. They will come in this game mad and get the job done.
(23) Michigan 34 (13) Indiana 27
Michigan had a terrible loss last week vs rival Michigan State, and the Hoosiers are rolling at 2-0. After last week, a lot of people have lost hope in Jim Harbaugh (I know I have) and this team, but to be honest they’re the better team talent wise. Give me Michigan by a TD.
(12) Oregon 27 Stanford 20
Coming into the season. I had the Ducks as a Top 5-7 team. However, they’re replacing their whole O-line and lost some defensive players who opted out. Stanford also lost their top offensive linemen and cornerback.
(7) Texas A&M 35 South Carolina 21
The Gamecocks are so inconsistent. I’m completely off the Will Muschamp train. The Aggies have the better team and head coach, so give me Texas A&M by two TDs.
(6) Cincinnati 31 Houston 21
I’m no genius, but I know a tricky spread when I see one. Houston is getting 14 points and 73% of early bets are on Cincinnati after a blowout win vs Memphis. Cincinnati wins, but the Cougars cover the 14-pt spread.
(8) Florida 28 (5)Georgia 24
Georgia has a better defense, but the Gators have the better QB in Kyle Trask and offensive weapon in Kyle Pitts. Give me the Gators in a close one.
(3) Ohio State 45 Rutgers 10
Rutgers has played well in the first two games, but they’re not ready to compete with the Buckeyes.
(1) Clemson 27 (4) Notre Dame 24
With Trevor Lawrence I’d be 95% confident in Clemson, without him I’m only 60% confident. The Irish have a good defense, but they just don’t have the playmakers at WR for me to trust them to win.
