On this podcast episode, Andre recaps Week 11 Temple football action and previews the Owls’ upcoming matchup against Tulane in Week 12.
The Owls are 6-3 and 3-2 in the conference after the 17 -7 victory over USF in Week 11. With the victory last Thursday night, the Temple Owls became bowl eligible for the sixth straight season. This week, Temple hosts the Tulane Green Wave for the first time since 2015. The last time these teams met was back on November 16, 2016 where the Owls dominated Tulane by a score of 31 to 0.
If we look at Tulane, the Green Wave enters this match up with Temple with a 6-3 and 2-2 record overall. Tulane is in 4th place in the American West standings. The Green Wave will be in search of its first win over the Owls since 1935 when these two teams played in the Sugar Bowl. Temple has won the last three games in this series.
This weekend’s match up between Temple and Tulane will be a part of the 150 years of college football celebration. Temple will wear throwback jerseys to commemorate the first ever Sugar Bowl that took place in 1935 between Temple and Tulane.
Kickoff for this meeting is set for today at Noon EST on ESPNU.
