MAC East
Favorite: Ohio (-120)
Easiest Path: Ohio
Toughest Path: No one has an overly tough path

Ohio is the clear favorite in the MAC East and that is the exact reason why they show up in every important game. The Bobcats are a trendy pick for 2 reasons. They return QB Nathan Rourke, and they get 3 of those 4 important games at home. Buffalo and Miami OH may sneak up as contenders, but I am going to take the Bobcats out of the East.

Favorite: Toledo (+175)
Easiest Path: Toledo
Toughest Path: Western Michigan

When I first started looking at the MAC West, I thought I was going to pick Western Michigan. Then I saw that they play the other 3 contenders on the road, so while they possibly have the best team, they have the toughest path. Toledo gets Western Michigan and Northern Illinois at home, which gives them an edge in a close division. I have Toledo making the MAC Title game. However, if Western Michigan can be road warriors or Northern Illinois can improve on offense then it could be either of them as well.
MAC Title Game
I have Toledo and Ohio meeting in the Title game and I am pretty confident in my pick of the Bobcats in that match-up. The winner of this conference likely won’t be looking for a NY6 bid, but rather a bid to a bowl against another top G5 team.
