UCLA flips top PF Shareef O’Neal

The City of Los Angeles will have the pleasure of another O’Neal balling in their city. Shareef O’Neal, son of NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal, announced that he will be committing to UCLA, just a few days after decommitting from Arizona. Bruins fans have to be pumped about this pickup. Although he is the offspring of a 15-time All Star, O’Neal brings more than just incredible bloodlines to the table. He is projected as a PF at the next level, but his ability to play as a wing is very impressive at his size. Standing at 6’9″ and around 215 pounds Shareef moves very fluidly and has a smooth release. Once he gains some more upper body strength, he will most certainly continue to make the O’Neal name proud.

Shareef’s decommitment from Arizona was 100% caused by the fact that the Wildcat’s program is now engulfed by the NCAA cloud. The FBI probe involving Wildcat head coach Sean Miller has been all over the news since the story was initially released. Unfortunately for U of A fans the fact that their school is receiving this kind of publicity is starting to hurt their program.

It has recently been released that the timeline might not match up for Sean Miller’s wiretap and the alleged discussion of payment to Deandre Ayton. If this were proven to be true it seems that the Wildcats and their fans might have a bone to pick with ESPN and their coverage of this possible “non-story.” It will be interesting to see how this story develops in the coming days.
