Ranking the Top 10 WRs in the C-USA

While much of the mainstream media focuses solely on P5 players, there are superstars that are going unnoticed. Some of those stars play in Conference USA. More specifically, they play at the wide receiver position. Here are the Top 10 WRs to play in the C-USA.

1. Rico Bussey – North Texas

Bussey is the leading returning receiver for the Mean Green in 2019. Last season he caught 68 passes for 1,017 yards and 12 touchdowns. Bussey has great acceleration & good hands. Big season ahead for him & North Texas.

2. Adrian Hardy – Louisiana Tech

Hardy had a monster season in 2018. He’s the leading returning receiver for the Bulldogs in 2019, after he hauled in 75 passes for 1,145 yards and 6 touchdowns last season. 🔥🔥🔥

3. Quez Watkins – Southern Miss

Watkins had a big season in 2018. He caught 72 passes for 889 yards and 9 touchdowns, while averaging 12.3 YPC. Watkins is 6’2″ and fast. His combo of speed and size makes him a match-up nightmare for C-USA DBs.

4. Ty Lee – Middle Tennessee

If you don’t know who Ty Lee is, you need to tune in because he’s a star. Lee is the leading returning receiver for the Blue Raiders and has been tearing up C-USA. Lee has 213 receptions, 2,537 rec yds, and 21 receiving TDs in his career.

5. Eric Kumah – Old Dominion

The Virginia Tech Transfer will be a big weapon for the Monarchs offense this season. Last season he caught 42 passes for 559 yards and 7 touchdowns. He’s a physical receiver who’s great at going up and making the tough 50/50 catches. He plays VT in Lane Stadium on September 7th.

6. Lucky Jackson – WKU

Jackson was one of very few bright spots for the Hilltoppers last season. He caught 50 passes for 552 yards and 4 touchdowns, while averaging 11.0 YPC.

7. Victor Tucker – Charlotte

Tucker is the leading returning receiver for the 49ers in 2019. Last season as a freshman he caught 54 passes for 712 yards and 2 touchdowns, while averaging 13.2 YPC. He’s got a bright future ahead!

8. Obi Obialo – Marshall

Obialo is the leading returning receiver for the Herd in 2019. Last season he caught 42 passes for 505 yards and 4 touchdowns, while averaging 12.0 yards per catch. He is an excellent route runner!

9. Austin Trammell – Rice

Trammell is an Under the Radar receiver that you need to know about. Last season he caught 62 passes for 632 yards and 3 touchdowns. The receiving corps is a strength for the Owls in 2019.

10. Jaelon Darden – North Texas

Darden is a speedy, slot receiver who caught 48 passes for 575 yards and 4 touchdowns. Darden is the safety valve for elite QB Mason Fine and should be in store for another big season.
