Ranking Mountain West Wide Receivers in 2020

Talent lurks at all levels of football. It doesn’t matter if it’s P5, G5, FCS, D2, D3 or NAIA. If you can ball, you can ball. And these guys can ball. These are the Pypeline 2020 rankings of the Mountain West Wide Receivers.

1. Warren Jackson – Colorado State

Jackson is the leading returning receiver for the Rams in 2020. Last season he caught 77 passes for 1,119 yards and 8 Touchdowns. In his career he’s caught 124 passes for 1,789 yards & 14 Touchdowns.

2. Khalil Shakir – Boise State

Shakir had a breakout season in 2019 with 63 receptions for 872 yards and 6 Touchdowns. In his career he’s caught 79 passes for 1,042 yards and 7 TD’s, while averaging 13.2 yards per catch.

3. Tre Walker – San Jose State

Walker is one of the top Wide Receivers in college football. In his career he’s caught 144 passes for 2,163 yards and 8 Touchdowns while averaging 15 yards per catch.

4. Jared Smart – Hawaii

Smart also established himself as one of the top wideouts in college football last season. He caught 87 passes for 1,129 yards and 5 touchdowns in 2019.

5. Dante Wright – Colorado State

Wright is a versatile playmaker who made a big impact in 2019 as a freshman. Last season he had 135 Punt Return yards while also adding 57 receptions for 805 yards and 4 touchdowns. He averages 14.1 yards per catch.

6. Randal Grimes – UNLV

Grimes, a transfer from the USC Trojans, had a big season in 2019. He caught 44 passes for 696 yards and 7 touchdowns, while averaging 15.8 yards per catch.

7. Elijah Cooks – Nevada

Cooks is one of the most underrated wide receivers in college football. In his career he’s caught 100 passes for 1,297 yards and 6 Touchdowns. Cooks is consistent, excels in his route running, and has some of the best hands in all of college football.

8. Bailey Gaither – San Jose State

Gaither has been one of the most consistent receivers in college football. He’s got sure hands and has 94 receptions for 1,502 yards and 14 touchdowns in his career.

9. C.T. Thomas – Boise State

The Broncos have had a ton of production from Thomas the last few years. In his career he’s caught 97 passes for 1,178 yards and 8 touchdowns.

10. Jordan Nathan – Utah State

Nathan is the leading returning receiver for the Aggies in 2020. Last season he caught 56 passes for 581 yards and 1 TD. In his career he’s caught 109 passes for 1,202 yards and 6 touchdowns.
