Ranking 2020 Sun Belt Wide Receivers

Talent lurks at all levels of football. It doesn’t matter if it’s P5, G5, FCS, D2, D3 or NAIA. If you can ball, you can ball. And these guys can ball. These are the Pypeline 2020 rankings of the Sun Belt Wide Receivers.

1. Corey Sutton – Appalachian State

Sutton is one of the top WRs in all of CFB. The fomer Kansas State Wildcat is a 6’4″ big play and redzone threat. In his career, he’s caught 85 passes for 1,374 yards and 17 touchdowns, while averaging 16.2 yards per catch. Sutton has NFL Potential. With Zac Thomas back at quarterback, expect Sutton to have another sensational season.

2. Thomas Hennigan – Appalachian State

Hennigan is not only one of the top WRs in college football, he’s also a great return man. In his career, he’s caught 135 passes for 1,685 yards with 14 touchdowns. He’s also added 344 punt return yards, 1 TD, and 254 kick return yards. Hennigan is one of the top route runners in the country.

3. Kaylon Geiger – Troy

Geiger had a monster season in 2019 and returns as the Trojans’ leading returning receiver. Last season, he had 77 catches for 873 yards and 5 touchdowns, while also adding a rushing TD.

4. Kawaan Baker – South Alabama

Baker caught 35 passes for 574 yards and 3 touchdowns in 2019. In his career, he’s rushed for 334 yards and 11 touchdowns and caught 75 passes for 1,170 yards and 8 touchdowns.

5. Jonathan Adams Jr – Arkansas State

Adams Jr is the leading returning receiver for the Red Wolves in 2020 after catching 62 passes for 851 yards and 5 TDs last season. In his career, he’s caught 87 passes for 1,195 yards and 9 touchdowns.

6. Reginald Todd – Troy

Todd, the former Mississippi State Bulldog, had a big season in 2019 for Troy. Last season, he caught 38 passes for 666 yards and 5 touchdowns, averaging 17.5 yards per catch.

7. Tray Eafford – Troy

Eafford has been a consistent receiver for the Trojans. In his career, he’s caught 64 passes for 938 yards and 9 touchdowns.

8. Cornelius McCoy – Georgia State

McCoy had a monster season in 2019, catching 70 passes for 757 yards and 5 touchdowns. In his career, he’s caught 105 passes for 1,252 yards with 6 touchdowns.

9. Javen Banks – Texas State

Banks is a big play threat, averaging 17.6 yards per catch in his career. All in all, he’s caught 30 passes for 528 yards and 7 touchdowns.

10. Sam Pinckney – Georgia State

Pinckney impressed me last season as a freshman. He had 36 receptions for 460 yards and 5 touchdowns. Pinckney has a lot of talent and upside. Remember his name!
