College orange roundie round-up 4/10

Keeping track of the offseason’s comings & goings. YAY!

Gilgeous-Alexander declares for the NBA

Kentucky freshman G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander declared for the NBA draft. He’s expected to be a lottery pick, somewhere around #12. Hopefully, he teams up with former Wildcat Michael Kidd-Gilcrest to form the longest, most hyphenated named backcourt in league history.

Bruce Brown to hire an agent

Last month the Hurricanes’ Bruce Brown was going to test the waters and declare for the draft and not hire an agent. Well, his agent-less days are over. Brown is projected as a possible late 1st rounder.

A wolf leaves the Pack?

NC State junior G Torin Dorn will dip his toe in the NBA feedback waters by entering the draft. However, he will not hire an agent and will more than likely be back. So all of you Wolfpack fans that just passed out can come back to life.

Creighton may lose Khyri Thomas to NBA

The Blue Jays’ second leading scorer Khyri Thomas declared for the draft, but won’t hire an agent. He’s projected in most mocks as a 1st rounder. It would leave a big hole for the Blue Jays to fill.

Northwestern gets a boost

After building a good relationship with head coach Chris Collins, Evansville grad transfer Ryan Taylor committed to Northwestern. Taylor was one of the top grad transfers available. He’s a scorer (21.3 pts/gm) and has the stroke to hit it from deep (42%). He will help them immediately. Huge get for the Wildcats and their fans.
