It’s time for Week 7 in college football. And it’s time for predictions. Lots of good football and interesting match-ups. Be sure to check out the ATS picks at the end.

Top 25

UNC RB Javonte Williams – (photo: N&O)
(23) Virginia Tech 34 Boston College 27

Virginia Tech should be back close to full capacity, and QB Hendon Hooker will start. Expect this game to be close. The Eagles have been playing well, but the Hokies are a better team.

(18) Tennessee 20 Kentucky 17

Expect this game to be a close, low scoring affair. I’ll go with the Vols by a FG.

(17) SMU 35 Tulane 31

SMU lost their #1 WR Reggie Roberson and RB T.J. McDaniel for the season, and that will start to show.

South Carolina 24 (14) Auburn 21

I haven’t been impressed with what I’m seeing from Auburn, and I feel like they’ll eventually have a slip up to a team they should beat.

(14) BYU 35 Houston 24

I initially had this game being a 2-3 point game, but there are rumors about potential players for the Cougars missing the game.

(13) Miami 31 Pittsburgh 24

Pitt has disappointed me the last two weeks not getting the job done, and the Canes are angry coming off a loss to Clemson.

Mississippi State 35 (11) Texas A&M 31

I’m going with the upset in this game. The Aggies are coming off a Top 5 win vs Florida and Mississippi State only scored 2 points vs Kentucky. So I know what you’re thinking: he’s crazy.

(5) UNC 38 Florida State 26

News came out this week that Noles WR Tamorrion Terry would miss a few weeks with an injury. So any chance FSU most likely had at a huge upset will be much tougher now.

(4) Notre Dame 42 Louisville 24

Louisville has been a disappointment this season and their defense won’t be able to stop Kyren Williams and the Irish rushing attack.

(2) Alabama 31 (3) Georgia 27

Nick Saban might not coach in this game but I’m still rolling with the tide in what I think could be a higher scoring game.

(1) Clemson 49 Georgia Tech 14

I love what GT is building, but Clemson has too much firepower for the  Yellow Jackets.

Best Unranked Games

Ole Miss QB Matt Corral – (photo: Ole Miss Athletics)
Liberty 31 Syracuse 24

The Flames, led by Auburn Transfer QB Malik Willis, are 4-0. The Orange just lost their starting QB and All-American DB Andre Cisco. Give me the Flames by a TD.

NC State 31 Duke 21

The Wolfpack have been on a tear since losing their first game. I like what Devin Leary is doing at QB, so I’ll roll with the Wolfpack.

Ole Miss 41 Arkansas 38

This game will have an excellent offense in Ole Miss vs a tough Defense in Arkansas. I trust Matt Corral and Lane Kiffin more than Feleipe Franks and Sam Pittman at this point in time, so I’ll go with the Rebels in a toss up.

UCF 45 Memphis 42

This game has huge AAC implications. Neither team can afford to lose another conference game. Expect this game to be high scoring and a thriller.

UVA 31 Wake Forest 28

The biggest question mark here is whether or not Brennan Armstrong starts at QB for Virginia, or if it’s seasoned veteran Lindell Stone. If Armstrong starts, I feel confident in the Hoos. If it’s Stone, it’s more of a toss up game for me.
