College Football Week 6 Predictions

It’s time for Week 6 in college football. And it’s time for predictions. Lots of good football and interesting match-ups. Be sure to check out the ATS picks at the end.

Top 25

(25) San Diego State 31 New Mexico 10

(24) SMU 31 Navy 24

The Mustangs have a high scoring offense but Navy can slow the game down running the option. I expect this one to be closer than the experts think.

(22) Arizona State 34 Stanford 24

Last week I picked ASU over UCLA and it paid off. This week, I like them over Stanford who just got a huge upset over Oregon.

(20) Florida 48 Vanderbilt 10

Florida will bounce back after a disappointing loss last week vs Kentucky.

(19) Wake Forest 31 Syracuse 27

The Demon Deacons have been impressive this season and I believe they’ll stay undefeated and take down the Cuse in a close one.

(17) Ole Miss 31 (13) Arkansas 28

This was a tough one to predict, a high powered offense in the Rebels vs a good defensive team that can run the ball well in the Razorbacks. Ultimately, I trust Matt Corral to get the win for Ole Miss.

(16) Kentucky 27 LSU 20

LSU is in the midst of a bad season and a half of football while Kentucky is on the rise as a program. Give me the Wildcats with Wan’Dale Robinson having another big game.

(15) Coastal Carolina 49 Arkansas St 24

The Red Wolves have been horrible on defense and I expect the Chanticleers to pick them apart. I expect a big game from Grayson McCall and Jaivon Heiligh.

Virginia Tech 20 (14) Notre Dame 17

Both of these teams have questions marks at QB and both have solid defenses. I expect a low scoring game that could go either way but I’ll take VT at home.

(11) Michigan State 24 Rutgers 17

The Spartans are having an incredible season and they’re getting good play at QB and from Heisman contending RB Kenneth Walker III. I expect Rutgers to keep this one close but Michigan State gets the Win.

(10) BYU 27 Boise State 24

Boise State has been a disappointment this season while BYU has been much better than I expected. If Hall comes back at QB I feel great about this pick.

Nebraska 24 (9) Michigan 21

Nebraska is only a 3 point underdog to Michigan, People ask “Does Vegas know something I don’t?” Yes, Vegas knows most of you will jump on Michigan -3 while the sharps will be on Nebraska +3. Nebraska has been playing better and isn’t the same team as Week 0 vs Illinois. I’ll take the Cornhuskers in a close game.

(7) Ohio State 42 Maryland 24

I expect the Terps to bounce back and play a lot better than they did vs Iowa but the Buckeyes will be too much for them in the end.

(6) Oklahoma 38 (21) Texas 31

The Sooners haven’t played to their potential on Offense while the Longhorns seemed to have found something with Casey Thompson at QB. Bijan Robinson will be the best player on the field but I’m expecting the Sooners defense to try and gameplan to stop him. Spencer Rattler needs to step up and I believe this will be the game he does so. I also expect Marvin Mims to catch his first TD of the season.

(5) Cincinnati 38 Temple 14

Temple got a big win vs Memphis last week but the Bearcats Defense and Desmond Ridder will be too much for them to handle this week.

(3) Iowa 17 (4) Penn State 14

This is a fantastic matchup, Two excellent defensive teams going at it. This could ultimately come down to who gets a big turnover or who makes a big special teams play. With the way the Hawkeyes have been forcing turnovers I’m betting on them.

(2) Georgia 31 (18) Auburn 10

Georgia is outstanding on Defense and it’s going to be extremely difficult for the Tigers run game to get going. I expect UGA to force Bo Nix to pass and it’s likely to lead to sacks & turnovers.

(1) Alabama 38 Texas A&M 10

The Aggies have been struggling on offense and Calzada will most likely get annihilated in this one. I expect the Crimson Tide to hit some big passes in this one and for Brian Robinson Jr to get plenty of touches.
