100 Miles of Hate

Have you ever heard of 100 Miles of Hate? If not, we are here to enlighten you. It’s a Rivalry between Western Kentucky & Middle Tennessee. I had heard of the rivalry before but I really started to pay more attention to it a few years ago in 2016. The 2016 game was incredible, both teams had elite QB/WR duos. Western Kentucky had QB Mike White and WR Taywan Taylor, while Middle Tennessee had QB Brent Stockstill and WR Richie James. The game went into OT and the Hilltoppers won 44-43.

Something interesting I noticed about this rivalry is just how close the series is. It’s 34-33-1 with MTSU leading. The teams are also very close in recruiting the past five seasons.

Both teams have had similar recruiting success the past five years so you’d expect this matchup to continue to produce incredible games in the future. I’m hoping I can get to a game to watch this underrated rivalry in the next few years.
